Leadership

Be.Here.Now.Lead.Powerfully.

Every day we are in at least one leadership role. If nothing else, we decide daily how we are going to live our lives, what kind of role are we going to play, what kind of relationships and projects are we going to participate in, and what is our purpose and drive.

It is interesting to reflect on how many of these decisions we are taking consciously and intentionally, and how many in a more passive and routinized way. We all have our reasons why we are doing this, but all of us need to be aware of what is behind and what is within. This is the first step to our powerful transformation and to our powerful creation.

Working with people as a leader, co-creator, and coach, I am noticing that we easily get caught up in judging ourselves or others in these leadership roles. We can be masters in taking away our power and blaming others or some outside circumstances. We can be full of advice, and opinions on how we and others should lead, act, react, interact, etc.

What we are usually missing is first to acknowledge the power we have about how we use our resources – time, energy, knowledge, skill set, opportunities, communication, choices, and decisions.

How to be more aware of what we are doing with this precious gift called ‘power’? A gift that is our resource, tool, right, and responsibility.

We need to acknowledge, that it takes an effort to pursue and own our leadership roles, whatever they are. It takes courage to show up and to take the lead, expose ourselves, and even more, take responsibility. It takes a strong will and an open heart to persist, even more so, when things are not working in our favor.

What astonishes and frustrates me, sometimes almost at the same time, is how much of our creative energy we choose to use (more or less consciously), or even misuse, either in personal or professional relationships and pursuits, with good intentions of course, just to strive to keep the status quo, to control the situation, to tolerate circumstances, to keep ourselves small or aside or quite to not offend, disturb, hurt, to not ‘being too much’, etc.

Instead, we could just be us, authentic, really present, owning our power and using it to create and co-create openly, fully, and intentionally.

We all have our moments, own our power, and create wonderful things and relationships, but wouldn’t it be amazing to be in such a state all the time, or at least the majority of it? Can you imagine how different teams, organizations, communities, and society in general we could co-create and live in?! How much better we could create, achieve, and prosper?

If you’d be asked, “Who and What is blocking any of us from being this free to be this powerful?’, what’s your answer?

Let’s keep it as a daily gentle reminder that owning our power is our unique and endless source of life, a source for positive creation and prosperity.

It’s our right and responsibility to stay open and learn how to get better at using our power wisely and assertively and let others do the same. In between we meet, we co-create, we change, and we impact.

In a world where you can be anything, choose to be powerful and free, give the world the best of you, and make that positive difference that you are here to be, and can co-create.
